Letter Regarding COVID-19

As you know, COVID-19 has become a serious concern for the entire the world.

Each of our team members has a strong faith in God and our prayers are with everyone who has been affected by this virus.

As professional event planners and travel advisors, we are grateful to be entrusted with being part of your celebrations.  During this challenging time, we want you to know that we are here for you.

Here are a few steps that we are encouraging all clients to do at this time:

1. Connect with your event / wedding planner. Let them know your fears and concerns. We can help you navigate contacting your vendors and your guests.

2. If you are considering canceling your event, we ask that you consider postponing instead. If you are planning to postpone your event, please contact your event / wedding planner immediately. If you don’t have an event / wedding planner, please reach out to your vendors today. The event / wedding community is doing our best to work with you and find solutions that works for everyone.

3. If you don’t have an event / wedding website, we encourage you to create one and share updates here. There are many free options available and this can be a fast and easy way to communicate with everyone about your event / wedding.

4. If you are looking for travel or wedding insurance, please know we understand your concern and interest in these policies. We have spent countless hours researching COVID-19 insurance options, back up plans and continue daily to be educated and informed so we can be a resource for you. Here is what we are recommending.

Review your contracts.

Please make sure you are viewing the CDC and the World Health Organization website for updates. These are the most reliable sources with up to date information.

Contact your lawyer.

There is not a wedding insurance company that will cover the coronavirus and many companies have stopped writing policies at all due to the pandemic announcement. If you decide to cancel or even postpone your wedding because of anything related to the virus it will NOT be coverd.

WedSafe is one of the companies that offers wedding insurance and you can browse their FAQ page to see more information on what IS covered.

You may still be able to get CFAR (Cancel for Any Reason) travel insurance but you need to purchase it within 14 to 21 days of your first payment. These offer anywhere from 50% to 75% reimbursement. Please note that insurance companies are changing their policies daily.

We know this is a difficult time and want you to know that we are on your and available for any questions you have. We are proactively staying informed on the changes of COVID-19 and how this will affect events and travel around the world. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for anything.
